THOUGHT:
This Psalm of despair, referred to by Jesus from the Cross, is
also a Psalm of hope and faith. The history of God's faithfulness
with his people Israel is an ongoing reminder that we can trust him
to deliver us. While in our human reckoning of time God's answer
may be slow in coming, his track record in history reminds us that
he will answer, deliver, and bless his people in his time. In our
worst of nightmares, we can be reminded that God is faithful and is
attentive to our cries of despair, lament, grief, agony, and fear.
PRAYER:
I ask, dear Father, that you bless your people everywhere who
find themselves in difficult situations. Empower them with your
Spirit and bless them with a change for the better in their dire
situation. Please hear the cries of your people and act swiftly for
their protection, preservation, and vindication. In Jesus' name I
pray. Amen.
I am recommiting myself to You this morning: the resources You've entrusted to me, the talents You've given me, the time You give me every day, all that I am is Yours. I recommit to seek Your face, to heed Your voice, to do Your will, to be in Your presence. Help me that I may be steadfast in my resolve, o God. I praise Your holy name, amen.
It's 2009. A new year, a new beginning. Let us put away all that has gone before and embrace a new positive mindset, an intenser relationship with God, a greater passion for Jesus, a serving attitude toward our fellow man and particularly God and aloving compassion toward those in need, whatever that need may be. Let us hasten to repent, be charitable, seek God, spare time for loved ones and learn to forgive quickly and unconditionally and forgive ourselves first.God bless you all copiously in 2009!
The year is almost over. It's been both good and bad for all of us, but held moe bad for some and more good for others. Some of us lost those we love, we've seen wars and heard rumours of wars, we've seen the devastation that nature can wreak on humanity in the form of floods and quakes and fires raging out of control. All of that leaves a mark on our soul. Sometimes it's a little cut and sometimes it's a gaping gash. But with every devastation comes the miracles, wheather it's new life or a life saved or a soul saved - it's all precious in the sight of God,,, and so it should be for us. My prayer for you all is that 2009 will witness God showering blessing upon blessing on you, amen.
He first loved us, then He came for us, then He suffered for us, then He died for us, then He was raised for us and... He still loves us. How wonderful, but almost incomprehensible is his love for us. Let it serve us as an example to love one another and do good to others - not just on one day a year, but every day.
What does it mean to walk in the Spirit? I'm learning about the Spirit of God more and more every day. We cannot know everything about the Spirit, because we don't know everything about God. the Spirit is the essence of God and therefore have all the facets of God, yet He is a seperate and unique entity who leads us in the truth. He is also a third of the holy Trinity. By His Spirit, God warns me, prepares me, guides me, enlightens me, calms me, stirrs me up to action, moves me, involves me, points out the needy to me, passes on knowledge to me, guides my tongue to speak His message, gives me rest and gives me peace. Thank You, Lord.

When I experience adversaty, I cling to God desperately because He's the only one who can alter my situation. I look to Him for guidance, advice and help whenever the enemy strikes. He strikes cunningly, deceptively, unexpectedly so you'd be least on your guard. But God is vigilant! He knows what is about to happen and warns me. I'm still learning so I sometimes misinterpret the voice, but I'm learning to obey when I hear it. I don't like unpleasant surprises, so sometimes the Lord warns me before something happens so I can be ready to deal with it. Thank You for that, Lord, I love You

A member of a certain church, who previously had been attending services regularly, stopped going. After a few weeks, the preacher decided to visit him.
It was a chilly evening. The preacher found the man at home alone, sitting before a blazing fire. Guessing the reason for his preachers visit, the man welcomed him, led him to a comfortable chair near the fireplace and waited.
The preacher made himself at home but said nothing. In the grave silence, he contemplated the dance of the flames around the burning logs. After some minutes, the preacher took the fire tongs, carefully picked up a brightly burning ember and placed it to one side of the hearth all alone then he sat back in his chair, still silent.
The host watched all this in quiet contemplation. As the one lone ember's flame flickered and diminished, there was a momentary glow and then its fire was no more. Soon it was cold and dead.
Not a word had been spoken since the initial greeting. The preacher glanced at his watch and realized it was time to leave. He slowly stood up, picked up the cold, dead ember and placed it back in the middle of the fire. Immediately it began to glow once more with the light and warmth of the burning coals around it.
As the preacher reached the door to leave, his host said with a tear running down his cheek, 'Thank you so much for your visit and especially for the fiery sermon. I shall be back in church next Sunday.'
We live in a world today, which tries to say too much with too little. Consequently, few listen. Sometimes the best sermons are the ones left unspoken.
The Lord is my Shepherd ----- that's a Relationship!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures ----that's Rest!
He leadeth me beside the still waters -----that's Refreshment!
He restoreth my soul ----- that's Healing!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness --that's Guidance!

Thank You for everything this morning. Small or large, You hold everything in Your hand. Your very existance is so awesome. Even the very idea of You is beyond my understanding. When I see everthing you made so fresh and alive, especially after the rain You've blessed us with again, I stand in awe of You. You've always had all the power, majesty, dominion, knowledge and wisdom and will always possess it. You take notice of the simplest little detail to the form of the most grandiose in Your creation.Everything in Your creation has a preordained order and function - just as You have planned it. I honor and praise Your holy name, amen.

Lord, please forgive me for my long absense. You have blessed me so much I will shout about Your goodness from the rooftops... and still You shower blessing upon blesseing upon me. Lord, You are altogether wonderful. Your lovingkindness endures forever. The extent and boundaries of your mercy have not been discovered by man - nor the recesses of you wisdom. I praise You, Lord, for You are the only God. You created everything perfectly and maintain everything perfectly. Where man breaks down You repair. Where man sins, You forgive. Where man cuts off, You restore. I thank You, Lord, for Your mercy endures forever.
Lord, I can testify of how You have turned the enemy's onslaughts into glorious victories for me for hours and hours if only I could remember it all. Whenever the enemy attack and I turn to You for help, I can be sure You would come through for me, just as You promise in your word. I thank You, Lord for providing for me once again when I didn't know how to make ends meet. You are truly worthy of all praise, glory and edification, amen!

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with an attitude of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from you. Please broaden my mind and teach me that I can accept all things that have your approval. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. And give me the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, you listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know you intimately. It was a chilly evening. The preacher found the man at home alone, sitting before a blazing fire. Guessing the reason for his preachers visit, the man welcomed him, led him to a comfortable chair near the fireplace and waited.
The preacher made himself at home but said nothing. In the grave silence, he contemplated the dance of the flames around the burning logs. After some minutes, the preacher took the fire tongs, carefully picked up a brightly burning ember and placed it to one side of the hearth all alone then he sat back in his chair, still silent.
The host watched all this in quiet contemplation. As the one lone ember's flame flickered and diminished, there was a momentary glow and then its fire was no more. Soon it was cold and dead.
Not a word had been spoken since the initial greeting. The preacher glanced at his watch and realized it was time to leave. He slowly stood up, picked up the cold, dead ember and placed it back in the middle of the fire. Immediately it began to glow once more with the light and warmth of the burning coals around it.
As the preacher reached the door to leave, his host said with a tear running down his cheek, 'Thank you so much for your visit and especially for the fiery sermon. I shall be back in church next Sunday.'
We live in a world today, which tries to say too much with too little. Consequently, few listen. Sometimes the best sermons are the ones left unspoken.
The Lord is my Shepherd ----- that's a Relationship!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures ----that's Rest!
He leadeth me beside the still waters -----that's Refreshment!
He restoreth my soul ----- that's Healing!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness --that's Guidance!

Thank You for everything this morning. Small or large, You hold everything in Your hand. Your very existance is so awesome. Even the very idea of You is beyond my understanding. When I see everthing you made so fresh and alive, especially after the rain You've blessed us with again, I stand in awe of You. You've always had all the power, majesty, dominion, knowledge and wisdom and will always possess it. You take notice of the simplest little detail to the form of the most grandiose in Your creation.Everything in Your creation has a preordained order and function - just as You have planned it. I honor and praise Your holy name, amen.
HERE WE WILL CONTINUE PRAY FOR YOU AND FOR ALL MEMBERS .

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day, I thank you for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because you are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and you keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with an attitude of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from you. Please broaden my mind and teach me that I can accept all things that have your approval. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. And give me the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, you listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know you intimately. I pray for those that will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray especially for those that don't believe. But I thank you that I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers; for each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes; that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. I thank you that every weapon is at our disposal to fight the good fight. I thank you for certain victory through Jesus Christ, our Lord. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it in Jesus' name. Amen!? God Bless! God I love you and I need you, come into my heart, please.
